Our Team

Maiah Massotti

Founding Editor | Editor-In-Cheif

[she/her] Maiah Massotti is an undergraduate English student at Hofstra University. Her love for literature began at a young age and has manifested itself as the conception of Grrrl. When she's not reading, editing, or working on Grrrl, she enjoys playing video games, taking care of stray cats, and checking her email with conviction. She currently lives in New York, but her heart resides within her Delaware hometown.

Eleanor Platt

Editor

[she/her] Eleanor Platt is an undergraduate English Literature with Creative Writing student at Lancaster University. She spent the majority of her childhood squirrelled away in the branches of the willow tree in her garden, either reading, writing, or sketching the world around her. When she isn’t living in Lancaster, she returns home to the quaint village in Cheshire where she grew up.

Chrysanne Ho

Editor

[she/her] As a teenage poetry writer of all things about love, loss, and longing, Chrysanne hopes to publish writing that resonates with readers so that they can be both comforted and entertained by her work. Her pieces have been published in various literary magazines, including By the Beach Journal, Vellichor Literary Magazine, Spiritus Mundi Review, and more. Besides writing, she also loves revisiting her comfort shows and books, working on her poetry collection, and delving into the lore and politics of her favorite fantasy worlds.

Meredith Tarsi

Editor

[She/they] Meredith Tarsi is an undergraduate student in Writing for the Screen at Hofstra University. Her love for writing, poetry, and editing are lifelong and follow her in all aspects of her life including her screenwriting classes, working with Grrrl, and writing silly tweets. She always dreamed of living in New York and is currently living out that dream when she is not home in Massachusetts.

Blue

Editor

[she/her] Blue is a student currently struggling her way through high school in eastern Australia, who loves reading, writing, and reminiscing over films from her childhood. When she’s not staring quizzically at a mushroom she found outside, she’s either winning in Mario Kart, losing in Smash Bros, or eating foods that are far too sugary. One easy way to identify her in a crowd is by yelling any incorrect fact relating to fungi—shewill appear and correct you.

Jessica DAniello

Social Media Manager

[she/her] Jessica DAniello is an undergraduate Television/Video major with a minor in Journalism at Hofstra University. She has had a love for the arts and creativity since she was small, dreaming of being a fashion designer at 10 years old. She joined musical theater but went from being in front of the screen to behind it and is now pursuing a degree in television. She is a producer for a film-talkshow at Hofstra and works as a freelance photographer. Jessica is from Connecticut but resides mainly in New York.
